Biggest rise in portfolio landlords making a loss

Rents may have risen in the private sector over the last year, but some professional landlords are feeling the pinch, according to the BDRC Continental quarterly Landlords Panel research.

The research shows that in the fourth quarter of last year, 8% of ‘portfolio landlords’ – those with 20 or more properties – reported making a loss compared to just 1% in the previous quarter. This is the highest figure since the Landlords Panel began in 2006. Read More:
