Providing letting services to landlords since 1989
A LANDLORD has won a legal battle to reclaim housing benefit withheld by one of his tenants.
And his victory has been hailed as setting a precedent for other landlords.
Mick Roberts, 32, of Rise Park, took Gedling Borough Council to the Local Government Ombudsman to try to claim the money, after his tenant stopped paying her rent.
He argued that the council should have stopped paying his tenant's housing benefit as soon as he had informed them she was in arrears.
